Margaret Phillips is among Britain's most outstanding concert organists and teachers; over the past year she has given concerts in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway, as well as in England, most notably in Westminster Abbey as part of their Summer Organ Festival. This year's highlights include concerts in St Paul's Cathedral and King's College Cambridge, and in Holland, Germany, Denmark and Norway. She will also give masterclasses as part of the Internationaal Orgelfestival Haarlem on English music, and on Bach, as part of their Young Talents course.
March 2012 saw the final release in her series of the complete Bach organ works, several of which have received 5-star reviews. Vol. V was described by Gramophone as having 'compelling and consummate artistry' and by Organists' Review as 'positively ravishing', while The Organ 'received [it] with a welcome smile of sheer delight'.
