Release of Bach Vol X

Margaret's latest CD, The Art of Fugue, was released on 25 November 2021 at St George's Hanover Square, London, where it was recorded in 2020.

Her previous recording, Multum in Parvo, features 12 of the instruments at the English Organ School and Museum, Milborne Port, and was recorded to celebrate the 21st year of EOS. In the BIOS Reporter, John Kitchen writes 'Margaret Phillips and her husband David Hunt have built up a splendid and historically illuminating collection of organs, harpsichords and harmoniums. What has been achieved at Milborne Port is of incalculable value to the world of keyboard music'. Full details are on the discography page.

Margaret Phillips is amongst Britain's most outstanding concert organists and teachers. Performance highlights in recent years include concerts in several Scandinavian cathedrals, as well as celebrity recitals at both Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral; in June 2016 she played an evening recital at the Royal Festival Hall in their international series 'Pull Out All the Stops' which was also broadcast on BBC Radio 3. In 2015 Margaret gave two cycles of the complete organ works of J. S. Bach, at the English Organ School, Milborne Port, and at St George's Hanover Square, London. The previous volumes have been hailed by The Diapason as 'the most elegant, beautiful realizations of the works of the great master that I have ever had the pleasure to hear'.
